Enterprises in the Soviet Union

Enterprises in the Soviet Union were businesses owned by the government. This means the government made all the decisions about what these businesses did and how they were run. These businesses were different from other businesses in the world because there were no private owners like in most places. Instead, everything that was done was decided by politicians and government leaders. People who worked in these businesses were not allowed to make decisions about how the business ran – only the government could do that.
