Enthalpy of fusion

Enthalpy of fusion is the amount of energy it takes to melt something. It's like how much energy it takes to turn something solid into something liquid. For example, it takes a certain amount of energy to melt an ice cube into liquid water. That amount of energy is the enthalpy of fusion for water.
