An environmental migrant is someone who has been forced to leave their home because of environmental changes like floods, droughts, and storms. These changes that cause people to be forced to leave their home can happen in places like deserts, mountains, islands, and coastal areas. People also have to leave their homes when natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, and wildfires occur. When people are unable to stay in their homes because of environmental changes, they have to move to other places to find somewhere safe to live.
