Environmental monitoring

Environmental monitoring is like an doctor's appointment for the environment. Scientists take samples of air, water, soil or plants to check if they are healthy or if they have any problems. By doing this they can look for things like pollution, acid rain or dangerous chemicals. They also look for things like weather, climate changes, and how animals and plants are doing. This helps them figure out how to protect the environment.
