Environmental racism in the United States

Environmental racism is when a company or government ignores or allows people of color, who are usually living in communities with higher poverty, less access to good health care and even education, to be exposed to more pollution and toxic chemicals in the air, soil, and water than non-racialized communities. In other words, people of color often live in areas that have more pollution, making it harder for them to stay healthy.
