ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Eo ipso

Okay kiddo, so eo ipso is a fancy Latin phrase that means "by the very fact" or "because of that thing itself."

Let's pretend you have a toy car. When you play with it, you're having fun because of the car itself – eo ipso, you're having fun because of that toy car!

Another example could be that you are sitting on a chair. The chair supports you because of its own physics and design, not because of anything else. Therefore you are sitting eo ipso on the chair because it is made to support you.

So basically, eo ipso just means that something is happening or true because of the thing itself, and not because of something else. Pretty cool, huh?
