Epistemic theories of truth talk about what we think is true and why. This means they look at how we make decisions about what is true and why. In other words, they are about how we figure out what is true and why we think it is true. For example, if I say a chair is brown, then I am saying that I think the chair is brown because it looks brown to me. That is an example of an epistemic theory of truth--my opinion about the color of the chair.
