Ergodic flow

Ergodic flow is like a river that never stops moving and flowing in the same direction. Imagine a river with a boat in it. The boat will keep going in the same direction, but as it moves, it will go around in circles and never really get very far from its starting point. That's what ergodic flow is- a system or process that keeps repeating itself in the same way over and over again.
