Erhard Maertens
Erhard Maertens is a person, just like you and me! He's a special man who lived a long time ago and did some important things.
Erhard Maertens was born in Germany in the year 1607. That was so long ago! He grew up in a time where things were different than they are now. He lived in a time where there was no electricity or cars or phones like we have today. But despite all of that, he still managed to do some amazing things.
One of the things that Erhard Maertens is known for is his work as a printer. Do you know what a printer is? It's a machine that makes copies of things. But back then, printing was a lot harder than it is now. There were no computers to help out, and everything had to be done by hand!
