ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Erratum

Sometimes when people make books, they can accidentally make mistakes. When they find out about the mistake, they print a little note to fix it called an erratum. It's like telling everyone who reads the book that there is a mistake and how to fix it. It's important to have errata, so we don't get confused or learn the wrong thing. It's like saying "Oops, sorry about that mistake, let's correct it together".
