Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching

Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (APS) is like a safety shield that helps protect your data from getting damaged or lost. It helps make sure your data is sent to the correct place without any errors or problems.

APS works like this: when you send data over an Ethernet network, it is like traveling on a road. You might travel on the same road every day and you know where it will lead you. But sometimes a truck can come and block the road, or there can be a traffic jam, or another problem that blocks your way.

APS is like a detour sign that helps you find a new road around the block, so you can still get your data to the right place even when there is a problem. It automatically finds an alternative route to your data’s destination so it can still get there safely and securely.
