Ethical theory

Ethical theory is a way of thinking about what is right and wrong. It helps us think about moral issues to figure out what is ethical, or morally good. It teaches us to make moral decisions that are responsible and fair. Ethical theory works by looking at how each party (person, group, or society) should be treated fairly and how to decide what is the best action to take. Ethical theory is a way to figure out what is the best thing to do.
