ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Science of morality

Science of morality means studying the things that people believe are right and wrong, and trying to figure out why people believe them. It's like looking at lots of pieces of a puzzle to see how they all fit together and form a picture. Scientists might study the stories people tell or different cultures around the world to learn about morality. They use these findings to better understand why people have certain morals and to try to come up with ways for us to make good decisions.
