ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

European Maritime Safety Agency

The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) is a group of grown-ups whose job is to make sure everyone who works and travels on boats and ships in Europe stays safe. They make rules and give advice to make sure boats and ships are built and maintained properly so they won't break down and cause accidents. They also help countries work together to improve their safety regulations for boats and ships. They help people who work and travel on boats and ships know what to do in case of an emergency, like if there is a storm or if someone gets hurt. So basically, EMSA helps keep people safe while they are on the water!
