European Theatre of World War II

European theatre of World War II was the part of World War II that happened in Europe. This part of the war began in 1939 when the country of Germany invaded Poland. Other countries like England and France saw that Poland was being attacked, so they joined forces to try and stop it. After that, Germany kept attacking and took control of much of Europe. Other countries joined the war to help fight Germany, including the United States and Russia. This continued until 1945, when the Allies (countries fighting against Germany) finally worked together to defeat Germany and end the war.
