European Union Directive

The European Union Directive is a set of rules that all countries in Europe have agreed to follow. It's kind of like a checklist for countries in Europe to make sure that they are doing things the same way, like making sure all cars in Europe have seat belts and airbags for everyone's safety. All of the countries in the European Union work together to make sure that the rules are the same everywhere, which helps make sure that everyone is treated fairly and equally.
