European Union–NATO relations

The European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are two important groups in Europe. The EU is made up of countries in Europe that work together on things like trade, travel, and working together to solve problems. NATO is a group of nations in Europe and North America that work together to keep each other safe, like a big family. The EU and NATO work together to keep Europe safe and make sure the countries in Europe can work together peacefully. For example, the EU and NATO cooperate on things like making sure their borders are secure, fighting terrorism, and training military forces together. They also sign agreements to help each other in case of an emergency. So when Europe works together, we all stay safe and can live and work together peacefully.
