European literature is the literature of countries in Europe, such as stories, books, poems, and plays written in the languages of Europe, such as French, German, Italian, Spanish, and others. Many famous writers in history wrote great stories, poems and plays that we still read today, like the plays of Shakespeare from England, the books of Grimm from Germany, the stories of Andersen from Denmark, the poetry of Pushkin from Russia, the novels of Cervantes from Spain, the plays of Ibsen from Norway and the stories of Gogol from Ukraine. European literature has a long and interesting history, and it continues to be an important part of our culture.
