Evaporator (marine)

An evaporator is like a magic tool that makes salty seawater become clean drinking water for people on a boat or a ship. It is like a big box that turns seawater into steam by heating it. Then, the steam is cooled down and turns back into water, but the salt and other impurities are left behind in the evaporator. This process is called desalination. So, now, we have clean drinking water that has no salt or other things in it that can make us sick. Evaporators are very important for people who live or work on a boat or a ship because they cannot get fresh water easily like we do on land. With an evaporator, they can have the water they need to drink, cook, and clean things without worrying about getting sick from salt or other impurities in the water.
