Exhaust pulse pressure charging

Okay, so imagine you're blowing up a balloon, and you put your finger on the opening to hold the air in. The air in the balloon is like the exhaust coming out of a car's engine, and your finger is like something called the exhaust pulse pressure charger.

Now, when the exhaust comes out of the engine, it makes a kind of pulse, like when you let air out of the balloon in bursts. The exhaust pulse pressure charger takes advantage of this by trapping some of the exhaust in a chamber, kind of like putting your finger on the balloon opening.

When the next pulse of exhaust comes out, it pushes against the trapped exhaust, kind of like if you blew more air into the balloon with your finger still on the opening. This extra air pressure helps push more air into the engine's cylinders, which makes the engine more powerful.

So, exhaust pulse pressure charging is basically a way to use the pulses of exhaust coming out of an engine to generate extra air pressure that helps the engine run better.
