ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Explicit knowledge

Oh, hello there little one! Today we are going to talk about something called "explicit knowledge".

Now, you know how we all have different things that we know and understand, right? Like you know how to tie your shoes or count to 10.

Well, explicit knowledge is when we write down or explain those things to someone else. It's like putting it in a book or on a computer so other people can learn it too.

So, it's kind of like your teacher writing out the steps for solving a math problem on the whiteboard. That written explanation is explicit knowledge because it's explaining something in a way that other people can understand it too.

Does that make sense to you, little one?
