Extraction (military)

Okay kiddo, so extraction in the military means taking someone or something out of a dangerous place. Just like how mommy or daddy might have to take you out of a busy street to keep you safe.

In the military, they use special teams and equipment to help them extract people or things, especially in places where there might be enemies or risks of getting hurt. The teams might be made up of soldiers who are trained to do things like rappel down from helicopters or sneak into places to get someone or something out safely. They might also use special vehicles and tools to help them, like armored trucks or special medical gear to help injured people.

It's all about making sure everyone gets out of a dangerous situation as quickly and safely as possible.
