ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Extreme points of South Korea

So you know how South Korea is shaped like a piece of fried chicken? Well, at the very top of the chicken's head is a place called Baekdusan. That's the highest point in South Korea and it's really cold and snowy up there.

Now, if you go all the way to the bottom of the chicken's feet, there's a place called Marado. That's the lowest point in South Korea and it's really warm and tropical down there.

So Baekdusan is like the 'up point' and Marado is like the 'down point' of South Korea. They are both special because they are the farthest points you can go in South Korea.
