ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Eye vein verification

You know how some people put their finger on a special pad to unlock their phone or open a door? Eye vein verification is a way to make sure it's really you by looking at the veins in your eye.

Inside your eye, there are tiny blood vessels called veins that bring oxygen and nutrients to your eye. These veins are unique to each person, just like your fingerprint.

A special camera takes a picture of your eye, but instead of taking a regular picture like your mom does, it takes a special picture that shows the veins inside your eye.

This special picture is then checked by a computer to make sure it matches the picture that is already saved. This helps to make sure it's really you and not someone else trying to get into your phone or a restricted area.

It's super cool because it's unique to you and can't be copied or stolen like a password or a key can be.
