ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Facilities management

Facilities management means taking care of a building or a place where people work, learn or live. It's like looking after your own house, but on a bigger scale. Facilities management can include things like cleaning, fixing things that break, making sure the building has enough electricity and water, keeping track of who is in the building, and making sure everyone is safe.

Whenever anyone wants to use a building, they need to make sure it is managed and taken care of properly. This is where facilities management comes in - it makes sure that everything is taken care of so that people can use the building safely and easily.

Facilities management is an important job because it makes sure the building is a good and safe place for everyone to be in. It's also important because it helps people learn, work and live in a comfortable, safe and clean environment.
