ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

FairTest

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes teachers make you take tests in school to see how much you've learned, right? Fairtest is all about making sure those tests are fair for everyone.

Sometimes the questions on a test can be tricky or confusing, or maybe they only apply to certain groups of people. Fairtest wants to make sure that all students have an equal chance to do well on the test, no matter where they come from or what their background is.

They also want to make sure that teachers are using the tests in a fair way, like not using the scores to punish students or to decide who gets special treatments like extra help.

So, Fairtest makes rules and guidelines for how tests should be made and used so that everyone has a fair chance to succeed. It's kind of like a referee for tests, to make sure everyone plays by the rules!
