Fallback font

A fallback font is a type of font that is used if a computer or website isn't able to show another font. Imagine that you want to show a special font that is really cool on your website. If a person who visits your website doesn't have that font installed on their computer, the website will use a fallback font to show the text instead. The fallback font might not look as nice, but it will be readable.
