Fan translation

Fan translation is when people who like a certain video game or comic book in one language, like English, translate it into another language, like French. This usually happens when the people who made the original game or comic book don't make an official translation into another language. Fan translators do this work out of love for the game or comic book and don't get paid for it. They do it because they want other people who may not speak or read English to be able to experience the game or comic book in their own language.
