Fasciculation

Fasciculation is when your muscles twitch without you trying to move them. It can feel like a twitch, a tingle, or a bubble popping in the muscle. It happens when the muscle fibers- the tiny structures that make up the muscle- unexpectedly contract. It's like a mini spasm that you can feel through your skin.
