Fax art

Fax art is like drawing a picture on a piece of paper and then sending it to a friend through the telephone wires. But instead of using a regular telephone call, you use a fax machine. A fax machine is a special type of machine that can take a picture of your drawing and send it through the telephone wires to someone else's fax machine.

People started creating fax art because they wanted to make art in a different way than just using pencils or paints. They thought it was really cool that they could make art and then send it to someone far away right away!

Sometimes, people even used the fax machine to make art in real-time, which means that they drew something and then immediately sent it to someone else, who would continue to work on the picture and then send it back. It was like they were drawing together, but they were far away from each other.

Even though fax machines are not used very much anymore, people still create fax art because it is a fun and unique way to make and share art with others.
