The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is like a referee for TV and radio, the Internet, and phones. They make sure that everyone playing by the same rules and nobody takes advantage of other people. For example, the FCC makes sure that TV channels don't show anything bad or offensive and that it's fair for everyone to have access to the Internet. They also make sure phone companies charge everyone the same price for phone service.
