Federal Trade Commission

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is a group of people that helps make sure that businesses are acting fair and not doing anything that could hurt people who use their products or services.

The FTC makes rules and guidelines for businesses to follow, and they investigate and punish businesses that break those rules. They also help educate people about how to protect themselves from scams and frauds.

Think of the FTC like a teacher on the playground making sure that everyone is playing nicely and no one is cheating or being mean. They're there to make sure everything is fair and no one gets hurt.
