ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Feminism

Feminism is like an umbrella that covers many different beliefs and ideas. Basically, feminists believe that all people should be treated equally and be given the same rights, regardless of their gender. In the past, it was often only men who had certain rights, like the right to vote and to own property, while women didn't have those rights. Feminists work to make sure that all people have the same rights and the same opportunities. They want to make sure that both men and women have the same access to opportunities, like jobs and education, and that women are not judged differently just because of their gender.
