Feminism in Egypt

Well, little one, feminism in Egypt is all about making sure that girls and women are treated the same as boys and men. Unfortunately, in Egypt, there are still a lot of people who believe that boys are better than girls, and that women should only do certain things like cooking and cleaning.

Feminists in Egypt want to change this. They want girls to be able to go to school just like boys, and to have the same opportunities when they grow up. They also want women to be able to work in any job they want, rather than being limited to just a few "traditional" roles.

Some feminists in Egypt also want to change laws and practices that are unfair to women. For example, there was a law that allowed men who raped women to avoid punishment if they agreed to marry their victims. Feminists in Egypt worked hard to get that law changed, so that rapists can be punished just like they should be.

There are still a lot of challenges facing feminists in Egypt, but they are working hard every day to make sure that girls and women are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.
