ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Feminist existentialism

Okay little one, have you ever heard of feminism? It's a big word that means treating everyone equally, no matter what their gender is - whether they are a boy or a girl. Feminist existentialism is a fancy way of talking about how some people believe that treating everyone equally means we should also think about things like how society affects us (that's called "existentialism").

You know how sometimes people might treat you differently because you are a boy or a girl? Well, feminist existentialism tries to understand why that happens and how we can change it. It's kind of like asking big questions about life and fairness!

Sometimes people might think that girls should act a certain way or do certain things, while boys should act differently. Feminist existentialism says that we should challenge those ideas and treat everyone based on who they are as a person - not just their gender.

So, feminist existentialism is like a superhero that fights for fairness and equality for everyone, no matter what they look like or where they come from!
