ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Feminist geography

Feminist geography is just like regular geography, but it focuses on how being a boy or a girl, or other things like your race or your background, can change how you interact with and experience the world around you.

For example, people who study feminist geography might look at how women might feel more afraid to walk to their house in the dark than men, or they might look at how different cultures might treat boys and girls differently when they're growing up.

Overall, feminist geography looks at how people's experiences of the world might be different based on things like their gender or their culture, and tries to understand how we can create a world where everyone feels safe and equal.
