perpetual futures contracts

A perpetual futures contract is a type of investment which never ends (the word "perpetual" means forever). People invest in perpetual futures contracts because they can stay in the market for as long as they want and have the potential to make money based on changes in the price of different assets, like stocks or bonds. Perpetual futures contracts are different than other types of investments because you don't have to buy and sell them like you would a stock. Instead, you make an agreement with another person that you will buy or sell an asset at a certain price in the future. That way, when the price of the asset changes, you can make a profit from these changes.
