Ferula

A ferula is a tool that doctors use to help fix broken bones in the body. It's kind of like a big, strong splint that keeps the bone in place so it can heal properly. Imagine you break your arm - the doctor might put your arm in a cast or a ferula so it doesn't move around and can heal.

A ferula is usually made out of material that is hard and rigid, like plastic or metal, so it can support the bone and keep it in place. They can be custom-made to fit perfectly on the broken bone.

It's important to keep the ferula on for as long as the doctor tells you to. This will give the bone enough time to fully heal and become strong again. Once the bone is healed, the ferula can be taken off and you can go back to using your hand, arm, or leg like normal!
