A fiefdom is like a magical kingdom, but instead of a king, there's a lord who owns land called a fief. The lord lets other people use parts of the fief, like fields to grow crops or forests to hunt, in exchange for their help and loyalty. The people who use the fief are called vassals, and they have to do things like give the lord part of their crops or help him go to war if he needs it. The lord is like a boss, and the vassals are like his employees who all work together to make the fiefdom run smoothly.
