Okay kiddo, so you know how you have a toy box where you keep all of your toys right? Well, computers also have something similar called file storage. It's a place where we keep all the important information or files that we need to keep safe and organized.

These files could be anything from pictures of your favorite pet, to homework assignments, or even a video game you love to play.

File storage can be in different forms like hard drives, USBs, or even cloud storage. It's like having different types of toy boxes to keep your toys safe. But instead of toys, these storage devices store files of different sizes and types. A hard drive would be like a big, strong toy box that can hold a lot of toys while a USB would be a small toy box that can only hold a few toys at a time.

Cloud storage is a bit different because it's like having a toy box that you can access from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. This means that you can get your toys from any toy box, as long as you have the internet.

So, file storage is just a place where we put all of our important files, just like we put our toys in a toy box, so that we can find them easily and make sure they are safe.
