ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Computer data storage

Computer data storage is like a big library full of books. When you save something on your computer, it's like you're writing a book and putting it in the library. The library is full of lots of different books, and all of the data on your computer is like a bunch of books stored in this library. When you want to use something you have on your computer, it's like you're going to the library, finding the right book, and taking it off the shelves. The computer reads the book, and then uses the information inside to do whatever you want it to do.
