File transfer

Have you ever wanted to send a picture or a video to your friend, but they live far away? Well, that's where file transfer comes in!

File transfer is just like sending a letter or a package, but through the internet! We use some special tools, called "file transfer protocols" to do this.

When you want to send something, let's say a picture, you first have to select it from your computer. Then, you put it in a special envelope called a "file". Just like when you put a letter in an envelope so it doesn't get lost or ruined.

After that, you need to send the file to your friend. You do this using some special tools called "file transfer applications". These tools take the file and send it through the internet to your friend's computer.

When your friend receives the file, they will also have to use a file transfer application to open the envelope and see the picture.

So, just like sending a letter or a package, file transfer allows us to send different types of files to anyone in the world, no matter where they are!
