Finland–Russia relations

Finland and Russia are two countries that are near each other. They both have been friendly with each other since the 1700s. However, in 1940, Finland and Russia had a war which caused a lot of damage. Since then, the two countries have been trying to have better relations with each other. Finland and Russia have signed many agreements and treaties that show that they want peace between their countries. Both Finland and Russia are members of the European Union, which is a group of countries that work together to keep peace and help each other. Finland and Russia also trade goods and services with each other, which helps their economies. The two countries also work together on environmental issues and help each other out if there are natural disasters. Finland and Russia are friendly neighbors who are trying to get along and have a good relationship.
