Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes you play a game with your friends and you pass a toy around in a circle? Well, a long, long time ago, there were some people in Egypt who were passing something called a "throne" around in their family. This meant that one person would be the leader of Egypt, and then when they were done, their child would become the leader, and so on.
The first family to have this "throne" were called the First Dynasty of Egypt. The very first leader was someone named Narmer. He was really important because he united two different parts of Egypt- kind of like bringing two different games together to make one big game. Narmer's son, Hor-Aha, became the next leader after him and his name meant "the fighter." Hor-Aha was followed by his son, Djer, who was called "the stable one" because he was really good at organizing things.
After Djer, there was another guy named Den who was a very strong and powerful leader. He was really good at protecting his people and making sure they had enough food to eat. Den had a son named Anedjib, but he wasn't as good of a leader as his dad. Anedjib's reign was marked by a lot of problems like droughts and famine.
The last leader of the First Dynasty was a man named Semerkhet. He was a smart leader who did a lot of good things for his people, like building more temples and helping to keep the kingdom safe.
So that's the family tree of the First Dynasty of Egypt, kiddo! They were the first group of people to pass the "throne" down through their family and rule the land of Egypt.
