First stellation of rhombic dodecahedron
Okay, imagine a cube. Now, instead of square faces, imagine that each face is a diamond shape, called a rhombus.
Now imagine taking this diamond-faced cube and stretching it a bit in every direction so that the sides become longer and it becomes more like a rectangle-shaped solid. This solid is called a rhombic dodecahedron.
Now imagine that you take this rhombic dodecahedron and all of its points stick out like little spikes. This makes a new shape which is the "first stellation" of the rhombic dodecahedron. It looks like a star with spikes coming out of it.
So basically, it's like taking a diamond cube, stretch it to a rectangle shape, then make it spikey all around to make a new shape that looks like a star.
