First-wave feminism

Hi there! Today we will talk about something called "first-wave feminism." Feminism is when people want boys and girls, women and men to be treated equally, and not have one group be better than the other. "First-wave feminism" happened a long time ago, about a hundred years ago, and it was when women fought to have the same rights as men.

At that time, women did not have the right to vote, they did not get paid the same as men, and they were not allowed to go to college. So, some women decided to protest and speak up for themselves. They used posters, speeches, and even marches to show that they wanted their rights. These women were brave and strong, and they fought for what they believed.

Some of the women who were part of first-wave feminism were Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Sojourner Truth. They worked hard to get laws passed that gave women the right to vote, and they also helped to change people's minds about how women should be treated.

Overall, first-wave feminism was a very important time in history because it helped to make the world a more equal place for girls and boys, men and women. Thanks for listening!
