ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Fiscal fine

Hi kiddo! So, a fiscal fine is when you have to pay money to the government because you broke a rule or law that involves money. Kind of like when you have to give some of your allowance back to your parents if you misbehave.

For example, let's say you're playing with your toy car in the house and accidentally break your mom's favorite vase. Your mom might make you pay for it with your allowance money. That's kind of how a fiscal fine works, but instead of your mom, it's the government.

Sometimes people or companies might do things that harm the environment, cheat on their taxes, or break other rules that involve money. The government might give them a fiscal fine to help make up for the harm they caused or to discourage other people from doing the same thing.

Fiscal fines can be big or small, depending on how much the person or company did wrong. But they're important because they help make sure that everyone follows the rules and that things are fair for everyone.
