Fishing coracle

Okay kiddo, so a fishing coracle is like a little boat that some people use to catch fish. It's usually made out of things like sticks, reeds, and sometimes even animal skin!

Instead of using a big ol' fishing rod and reel, people in coracles use something called a "trotline". This is basically just a long string with a bunch of little hooks on it, and it floats in the water.

Now, the coracle is pretty small, so the person using it will just paddle around in the water looking for a good place to drop their trotline. They'll tie one end of the trotline to the coracle and let the other end float in the water.

After a while, they'll come back and check the trotline to see if they've caught any fish! If they have, they'll carefully take the fish off the hooks and put them in a bucket or basket on the coracle.

Then, they'll paddle around some more and repeat the process until they've caught as many fish as they want or until it's time to go home.
