Fission products (by element)

When we take a big atom and cut it into two smaller atoms, we call this fission. When this happens, there are some leftover pieces called fission products.

These fission products are made up of different elements like Xenon, Krypton, Strontium, and Barium. Each of these elements has its own unique properties and can behave differently.

It's important to know about these fission products because they can be dangerous and harmful to living things. Scientists and engineers work hard to monitor and control these fission products to keep people safe and make sure that they aren't released into the environment.
