Five-point stencil

Imagine a piece of paper with a grid of dots on it. The five-point stencil is a pattern where there are four dots around a center dot. It looks like a cross.

Now imagine you want to draw something on this paper, but before you do that, you need to figure out what the height or depth of each of those dots is. This is important if you want your drawing to look 3D.

The five-point stencil is a tool that helps you do this. You would place it over one of the dots on the paper and then look at the four dots around it. By using the heights or depths of those dots, you can figure out the height or depth of the center dot.

This tool is used in a lot of different industries, like engineering and computer graphics, to help make things look more realistic. It's like a secret code that helps people create amazing things!
